Do I need a family-law attorney or a therapist first?

It depends on your situation. If a child is refusing contact, a reunification therapist is often the first step. If you are facing custody litigation or bad-faith interference, a family-law attorney comes first. Many parents work with both.

What does a parenting coordinator do?
